Chardonnay 2018 Clarksburg
Buxom, bold, beautiful... a true California Chardonnay. Quite crisp, but with mineral and savory notes that speak of rich valley soils, sunny summer days, and big juicy berries bursting with bright flavors: fresh cut honeydew, pear marmalade, birch bark. Drink over porch conversations, or bring to a table set with roast chicken and green goddess salad.
Vineyard and Harvest: Gently sloping alluvial soils, with rows oriented and vines trellised for maximum southern exposure. Harvested in late summer at 23 brix.
Fermentation and Aging: Directly pressed and cold settled. Fermentation in puncheon, 0% malolactic. Aged 18 months in new French Oak & stainless steel.
